Whatever happened to the snake in the photo? I'm hoping that your relative didn't kill it. Especially since he thought it may be a massassauga.

If that is an Eastern Milk snake, that is an incredible pattern aberrancy. As mentioned by others in this post, it would certainly be helpful if you could somehow get some better pics, or at least some pictures that are closer to the snake.
