Good evening, fellow Hognose aficionados! It was a sad day for me, as my wonderful,sweet, best buddy W. Hognose, Piglet, passed away last night at a youngish 6 years old. After an appropriate mourning period, I believe I will try my hand at Tricolor Hognoses next--but therin lies my need for help from this forum. My only local (fantastic) reptile haven does not and will not have any available in the the near future, so my recourse is the 'interweb'. However, I do not know these people, and oine virtual storefront looks the same as the next. Any good recommendations for specific breeders of this lovely Hognose? I will need someone whose snakes are, of course, healthy and handsome, and has a good track record of live arrivals for shipping. I am thinking of trying to breed my own in the future sometime, but want to start out with a female, preferrably a hatchling or youngster, to fully enjoy the hand-raising/taming aspect. I appreciate realistic and honest referrals to people you trust and value in the online herping community. Thank you.
