I have a newly acquired hatch-ling eastern. I have an abundance of toads that i will feed until or if i ever switch it to rodents. I fed it a small toad last Friday, and it ate it right away. I tried to offer it another toad last night but it showed no interest at all. I'm not concerned at all, but i was just wondering what kind of a feeding schedule i should have this guy on. Once a week, or should i wait a little longer? ect.. The temps range from mid 70s on the cool end and mid to high 80s on the other end. I have plenty of hiding places and about 3 inches of cypress on the bottom. I'm open to all suggestions, but please be respectful. If i don't get it to eat again withing the next month or so, i will put it down for winter hibernation along with the rest of my other colubrids.
