Both of you should know that I do not take cheap shots. If I have something to say to an individual, I spacifically call someone out by name and situation and have no problem doing so.
I was simply suggesting that (as I stated) many keepers use what is convenient for the keeper and not really beneficial for the kept. I use aspen bedding for housing because it is cheap and easy. Does it mean it is any more beneficial for the snake than rabbit pellets? Not at all.
They sure look snug in a pile of aspen but I am certain they would be far more comfortable in a cage with 10 inches of sandy soil with a variety of temperature and humidity levels(hence the pile of nuts and bolts comment). Thats just not convenient for us though, so almost no one keeps their hogs like that especially when keeping them in breeding colony numbers.
I was not having a go at you guys at all. Just being me as always. I am truely sorry if I came off like a jerk. Troy, you know I respect you highly and Mblons, you will do well with your animals. You can see your passion and love for these animals with every post you make. Your husbandry was never in question.
