That was my first permit. We were working that shoreline trying to catch tarpon. I look up and there is 200 black tails right in front of me. I made my cast and the line got tight then bam:

It was the only time I was mad to see one of these jump. I tried to break it off and ended up having to land it green. Took a quick pic, retied and we ended up getting four before we lost them. We each kept saying I'm going to try one on fly but I will have to try it next time. I didn't want to miss the lifers. Pretty awesome day. Snook, tarpon, permit.
The big horns are my favorites I think. It's hard to pick though. ----- Gerard
