Well, many years ago starting back in 1995, the only amel's that were initially available were the tricolors that were $3,000. As they became more commonly bred in collections and also became more affordable, more people started breeding in the tangerine phase into them for a much higher percentages of orange/tangerine coloration, and those went for a bit more money than the original light butter/yellow tricolors.

Anyway, I would probably breed it to a tangerine, because they are very affordable now and very commonly bred, and you can still pop out some variation within the clutch depending what the parents lineages are anyway.
