The poly is fine, dampened up a small towel with warm water... put the snake in (wrapped up snugly) for about 10 minutes... and the piece of eye cap was gone.

In your place... I'd probably have been the first one to stick my head and camera into that pipe as well... but just sitting here at the 'puter looking at the pics all I can think is... there's a mistake waiting to happen. I've only encountered fishers 4 times in my life and gave them all the room they wanted each time... there's something about the way they move and look at you... you just know it's not a good idea to upset it!
