don't get your hopes too high...

keep in mind this article was written by a newspaper writer, and if past practice is any indication, they did VERY little research into this.

the rule (as written) would apply to all 9 of the "big constrictors".

i'm not sure if they can modify it at this stage. what was submitted was the final draft, and i think in order to modify it, the OMB would have had to kick it back to USFWS to re-write it - which we certainly would have heard about.

i'm operating under the assumption that the author of the article wasn't thorough in his research and it is going to pass as originally submitted - including ALL of the Big 9
