I am sorry to hear that I have used these traps to capture a Ball Python, a Kingsnake, and a Cornsnake. Each time when they were released with a bit of oil they were just fine (if a bit crabby about being stuck on the board as long as over night). I have only had one rodent die after being caught on a glueboard because I didn't know the ASF had escaped and, due to work, I had not checked the petroom 17 hours. It was alive when I released it, but the stress was just too much for it.

I purchase the super basic, flat boards and just set them in corners and along walls all around the house. They are great for capturing escaped pets, but also for keeping on eye on the around-the-house pest population.
