Am I the only person who is tired of the public and regulators attacking reptiles (or turles, or any other pet) on the basis of Salmonella? The Federal government included.

Simple rule here: DON'T LICK YOUR PETS

And wash your freakin' hands. I swear I am going to make this a T-shirt. You don't handle an animal and then eat a hamburger. You don't clean the litter box, then hand toss a salad. You don't let your small child, who doesn't know these rules, work with any animal unattended.

Sorry, just a rant. I know it is silly to expect people to be pro-active. It is always animal's fault...
