over the past 2 weeks I've brought all of my snakes out of brumation, every snake was weighed, and none of them lost much weight during their cooling period. my albino annulata male and spotted female each lost 2 grams but every other snake weighed exactly the same as when they entered brumation. my apricot annulata male that's het albino weighed 298 grams, this guy is huge... and the albino female he might end up breeding to is just as big, but 2 grams less.
today was the first day of post-hibernation feeding and every snake ate just as much as I expected them to...
between cali kings, mexican milks and garter snakes I probably went through 60 mice of various sizes last night.
here's a normal female annulata eating a rat pinky.
