So I wanna try something

Well I wanted to do an experiment after reading articles on how arthropods got considerably larger millions upon million of years ago because our atmosphere was richer in oxygen, so I got to thinking, what if I get a tarantula, a scorpion, and giant centipede, and raised em (not together of course) with tubes directly feeding into their enclosures with pure oxygen, to see if they do in fact grow larger. Would this be a very ethical or humane experiment? I mean its just oxygen, but would too much be harmful?
