Citrus is Amir's line of pastel, Flame is his line of fire. There has been considerable debate about the Citrus project and what Citrus can or can't do, and if there is perhaps another gene involved with the Citrus. I believe there is another gene involved. My evidence for that is my Citrus G-Stripes. About half of them are much brighter and have a different look. But for now that is enough about the Citrus G-Stripes, this post is about the Citrus Flames. I'll do the Stripe story at another time. Flame is Amir's line of Fire. It produces a black eye lucy with a tendency to have some yellow blotches, it also has a little more reduced pattern than a fire. I have several Citrus Flames and also what I believe is a Citrus Flame Bee. The CF Bee has a sibling paradox Queen Bee. There were multiple sires of the clutch, a Citrus Flame and a pastel butter. The dam was a spider. If one is a Citrus Flame Bee and the other is a Queen Bee, I hit all of the odds on both snakes. I'll find out more this year by breeding the Citrus Flame male to more spiders. I don't know why the Citrus Flames are so bright and the Citrus Flame Bee is so pale, I like both looks but can't explain the difference. | ||
