They are normally refered to as Durango Mountain Pine Snakes. They live on the Sierra Madre Occidental of Northwestern Mexico, where as jani or the Northern Mexican Pine Snake occurs in the Sierra Madre Oriental of Northeastern Mexico. Deppei come in many shades and colors some of which aren't that attractive, but the specimens from the Durango area are some of the more beautiful ones, which is why most of the deppei seen in the hobby are of Durango descent. Here are a couple pics of mine.
