I had a firefly male start breeding last season at 350gms continued to eat and was around 500gm by the end of the season. I was real easy on him and he still fathered 4 clutches.

I have an enchi butter doing the same this year - we will see if he fathers any clutches or not.

It doesn't hurt to try him out and see what he does. He will tell you if he is interested or not.
