Hi,

Sorry for your losses. As the others stated, males will often go by the 400-600 gm range. Females will often start cycling at weights well below those you posted as well. Most of mine cycle initially at 1,200-1,500 gm range and I've had several go at 1,000 gms. Remember, if you provide conditions condusive to reproduction, they will let you know when they are ready. Don't be surprised if you notice cool seeking behavior and that reproductive "pale glow" at weights below those that you've mentioned. Good luck.
