No Type B columbians.....

.......this year. I acquired a pair of Jim Peters Type "B" Colombians last summer. .The male was in good shape but the female was thin....too thin.

Hope against hope I paired them up Nov. 1st for a breeding trial.....As expected the male worked his butt off but I never got an ovulation.

Mother nature knows best. This girl was in no shape to breed and she didn't....I've learned my lesson..... In the wild birds and reptiles will not produce in the lean years. . . . and I think that is what happened in this case. Although in captivity she had experienced some lean years.

She is about 7' and still lean.......I'm gonna feed her up for a year and see what she look likes next year.....I bet it will take me two years under my care before I get her to produce......
