Drew,
I wouldn't say all milks go off feed in the Spring, the 2 nelson's I have are both eating nowadays, one is a 2010 one is a 2011, the 2011 one will eat 6 peach fuzzies per feeding no problem. In my opinion if a young snake only wants to eat every couple weeks it's not really comfortable with it's living situations... My young milks will eat every time food is offered once they're adjusted.

Make sure the snakes are parasite free (mites/ticks), make sure the temperature(s) are accurate (80-84 on the warm side), the snakes also need water and some really won't eat if thirsty. Also be certain the snakes aren't in shed phase, as a rule I don't disturb young milk snakes for any reason but feeding and cage cleaning. Holding a snake might make it not want to eat.

Also what kind of food are you offering... live or f/t? Are you just leaving the prey in there or are you wiggling it in the snakes' face with tongs? Young milks especially can be picky about live or f/t rodents, some need the movement to spark interest.
