Twix's first hatchling...

...is a Superconda!







It was about halfway out of the egg until I removed the cover to take pictures, then it wriggled back into the egg as much as it could. So this was the best picture I could get of it.



Her first clutch was only 4 extremely larger than normal eggs (one of which died a month ago) when she became eggbound with 3 more which forced us to perform a paracentesis. She was then able to pass the remaining 3 eggs, recover and then double clutched 11 more eggs a 6 weeks later which were normal sized eggs (half the size of these first eggs). So with any more luck, we'll be hatching more Supercondas in another month. For those interested, we paired her with our original Anaconda.
