I've seen plywood racks at shows and have talked to builders of both. The general census is that plywood will do just as well as plastic, but you loose some humidity do to the wood absorbing the moisture where plastic won't. Does anyone have any ideas on a good finish for wooden racks? I'd imagine it would have to be something that would help treat the wood to be moisture resistant also I'd be looking for something that would maybe even make the wood more durable. I was actually thinking something like smooth finish spray in bedliner. Lastly are there any concerns with toxicity after drying? Are there any finishes to stay away from? [ Hide Replies ]
