Depends on who you talk to.
My opinion based on experience is that 3 months is best, but that doesn't mean you need to throw mice away after that. What I am saying is that the quality of the mice is best within a 3 month period because they are a whole animal.
Try to cycle through them by then. You can feed mice that have been frozen much longer than that, no problem. But, as long as you have control of what gets used when, shoot for 3 months as a guideline, and you will be happy.
If you have a really good freezer that truly maintains proper freezing temps, then you can increase the period of time. Many home freezers do not truly maintain proper temps at all times.
