Feeding problem

I have a 1100 gram female fire that will constrict a rat, swallow it up past the neck, then spit it out. She has always been a consistent feeder, but has done this the past 4 attempts. I've tried smaller prey, but no change. I also checked the inside of her mouth, clean as a whistle. Thanks for any input!
