Does anyone know whether the green develops AFTER an egg is not viable and stops pumping blood through the veins to the surface or whether the mold starts and kills the baby inside?
This could have implications on how to deal with the green mold. If the baby is already dead, it would seem the you would want to remove the egg but that the other eggs are not really at huge risk unless they too die.
Alternatively, if the mold develops and kills the baby, then it would seem that you should get that egg out of the clutch to protect the remaining eggs ASAP.
Any ideas from the more experienced breeders?
