That is great! What is interesting is that the burrow looks like a mammal did it, so nicely packed down. Is that sand mixed with coir?
All passage ways that are surrounded by a material - whether it be blood vessels, burrows, roots, etc - are nearly circular, never perfectly circular but always nearly. It is the most efficient shape for flow and withstanding bends (like a vein in your arm does not close off when you bend your arm..).
