This time it was the male.

I went to feed my polyz and Ed the BM this past Sunday morning... female poly and Ed went smoothly... when I opened the male polyz (Gomez)enclosure he wasn't there!

I spent Sunday tearing the house apart looking for him... having forced hot air for heat I also have floor grates. At first I thought the openings in the grates were too small for him to get through, but seeing I couldn't figure out how he managed to get out of his enclosure where the largest opening is the space between the two sliding glass dorrs... I went down into the basement and starting opening all the ductwork... even took the furnace apart... all to no avail.

Long story short I spent the other three days repeatedly making rounds of the house and basement... shining a flashlight into every nook and cranny I could think of... this morning I had already made two rounds and decided to have one last look before heading off to work... within thirty seconds I found him... right on the floor behind the enclosure stack I had already checked twice.

I love those polyz dearly... so why is it they seem intent on causing me grief?

Here's a picture of the female Morticia I took a few short moments before discovering Gomez was AWOL. She's just out for a Sunday morning cruise... most days she's out in the open somewhere... that's what makes her and my adult BM Jade so endearing... both like being seen

Wish I could figure out how he managed to escape... all day long today I wondered if I'd be searching for him again when I got home...

Anyway, gotta go and put a furnace and the ductwork back together because he's still there...safe and sound... though deep in blue... not to mention deep in the dog house!

Gerry
