haha your polyz are a couple of rascals.
It's been about 11 years since i've had a snake get loose (knock on wood), but it was always a pita trying to find them. I ended up making the decision to completely seal off my snake room in any house i've lived in. I put screen over any heating/cooling vents, make sure all widows are basically air tight, and ensure the door is pressed firmly to the floor when closed. I figure that way, if one does get loose again, i'll only have one room to tear apart.
My first snake to get loose gave me a semi-funny story to tell. It was an adult desert kingsnake when i was about 13 years old. I spent 4 days going through my parents house and found nothing. then on the 5th day my little brother asked if i would get a Tonka truck off the top shelf in his closet for him. Sure enough the king was curled up in the cab of a toy truck about 6 feet off the ground. no idea how he got up there.
