As much misunderstanding and stigma as there is for a homozygous lethal mutations (not sure hg woma or spider own up to the title even yet) I would imagine that if someone had produced a homozygous champagne when they were even more expensive most would have kept quiet about it. Kudos to David Green for letting us know about the one this year. Now the rare thing will be finding someone willing to do the pairing again to confirm the results. Great morph for lots of other combos but maybe not for champagne to champagne.
