Resting the head and upper body against the side of the cage is not a sign of IBD. Lethargy and anorexia may be, but not necessarily. In fact, these are more likely signs of some husbandry related issue than IBD, for instance improper temperatures.
The normal symptoms of IBD in Boas is "star-gazing' or other signs of neurological problems, regurgitating, stomatitis, and respiratory infection.
