I just think there is a natural color variances in most Pits, even in clutch mates. Morphs or non-morphs. Some are more yellow and some go darker oranges and red. Brown and tan, and so on.
Congrats Al

Hi Jason,
With respect I'm a little confused by your reply.
If I'm understanding you correctly here, what your saying is all pits fall into a natural colour variant group, morph or non morph regardless then I have become real confused.
Following this rule of thumb then surely this means for example, things like your dyergate annectens, orange and blonde deserticola, yellow classic sayi, whitesides etc. are all just really natural variations. This being the case all the morph names given are a misnomer.
As for giving morphs names like Dyer, Betchel , Applegate, and also names like Dyergate, Green albino etc. also come into question now as they should just be called albinos period.
