Sunday brings the usual feeling of let down as the excitement of the show ebbs, the crowd thins, and dealers snarl under their breaths. I did find the baby cape's today, perched right out on top of some of Ben Siegel's cages! I'm just sure (!) they were hidden when I came by yesterday. Also chanced to see a pair of jani adults hidden (!) six feet from the aisle in a pile of tubs at the "Reptile House" tables. I encouraged one of the owners to put them out where they might catch someone's eye! That said, they were not particularly contrasty as far as jani can go. At $250 they were fairly priced and that was surely negotiable. Having several better looking ones at home I managed to keep hands out of my cash stash so far as they were concerned. Lightning storms have again invaded the sky; no sunbathing going on here for the vitamin D deficient! Time to contemplate what was seen, and what was missed... Goodbyes were said to compatriots from across the country. Morning will come again, and surely we would venture in again, were it possible, just to be a part of dream realized that reptile shows truly are.
