Posted by: RandyRemington at Tue Aug 21 22:13:54 2012 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by RandyRemington ] Assuming you had the resources to buy the other line before you sold any of your line the decade it would take to raise it up, breed it to your line, hit a possible super, raise it up and breed it to enough normals to confirm if the two lines are at least alleles (and I don't know how you would ever prove exactly the same mutation) would be a long time to keep the new morph from all other hobbyists. And what would you do with all the extras for all that time? I don't think the ball python bubble even lasted that long. If you’re just in it for the science share it as quick as possible and let the whole community work together to figure out if they are compatible or not and have fun with the mutation while it's still new. And if you aren’t going to keep everything from the project until there is nothing left to figure out you need to call it something. [ Hide Replies ]
