Paul, such a wonderful place! Nothing like getting out in nature and being able to enjoy it. I've worked in the ammunition area in Red River Army Depot for over thirty three years now. The ammmo is stored underground and the woods don't suffer because of it. Square miles of not totally untouched country, but plenty good enough for me.
It has been my own "preserve" to oversee. I have checked every road kill and twice have even scared hawks flying overhead into dropping the snakes dangling to get a chance to see the snakes they were intending to make a meal out of. Seeing the remnants of snakes mother buzzards have fed their young and they regurge when you make pets out of them. I love taking camping trips on my bike (M/C) and checking the areas out on the way. I definitely need to get out that way next spring and camp a little. Life just isn't long enough to pass it up, IMO. Thanks for sharing. That made my day. John ----- It's a sick world and I'm a happy man!
