Would you be able to elaborate some on the bipartisan support?
-bipartisan support means it has support from both sides of the aisle. HR511 was introduced by a republican (historically the people who have supported us) and has both republican AND democratic cosponsors.
What does this entail? Only sales for that state, etc?
-it would mean the same thing for boas as it does for burms. NO interstate transport. PERIOD. you can't buy across state lines, trade across state lines, sell across state lines or even take your pet across state lines if you move or need veterinary care.
They couldn't possibly get away with banning all boids, right?

What is their motive and overall benefit, saving the environment from escaped animals like in Florida?
-in short, yes. the same "scientific study" that condemned the burms ALSO condemned boas. there are INCREDIBLY influential groups out there who have LOTS of money and LOTS of politicians in their pockets who do their every bidding. we've defeated stuff like this before, but we have to stay vigilant.
It can't be safety of ppl bc dogs haven't been banned and kill more people than all snakes combined in the USA not to mention cars, etc.
-snakes are an easy target. the general public doesn't like snakes.
