Posted by: DMong at Mon Sep 3 04:15:37 2012 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by DMong ] I examined the shed skin you sent me, and it does in fact key-out as L.t.gaigeae with 19 dorsal scale rows at mid-body, just as I thought it probably would. Also, it looks to be a short-tailed male as it has 55 or 56 subcaudal scales (very tip of tail missing) and a straighter, less tapering tail. Of the females that K. Williams examined (per Systematics 1978), females had between 42-54 subcaudal scales past the vent. | ||
