Jonathan,

Considering your one of the foremost guyana boa breeders in the world, can you please explain your comments below. Your comment regarding purple guyana's is particularly troubling.

With your vast knowledge and experience you really need to explain to your customers and loyal followers why you would make such statements. My only guess would be that there's some truth to what you're saying.

"As for your question about older boas. I have a couple of theories. One is that older boas are generally darker and "uglier" and hence, don't get shown off much...."

"Finally, I realize that EVERY SINGLE BOA darkens with age to some degree or another. But I try to buy animals that, in my best guess, won't be dark brown or black...."

"That's boas for you! They all darken and yellow/brown up to a degree, it's just a matter of how much. I think the VAST majority turn pretty brown, it's only the select few that don't turn as brown. That's why I usually buy for contrast and pattern - you can't guarantee they won't brown up".

"In my experience with BCC's, the purple animals tend to darken a LOT as adults".

This is my final reply to you. I anxiously await your reply
