As Tom already mentioned, check them out online, see if they have a reputation good or bad.



Two other points...



1) Typically it will be the lesser known person shipping first. Of course both could be relatively unknown hobbyists.



2) Trust your "spidey sense" if it does not sound right, if anything does not sound or feel right, walk away!!
