I've been focusing on outcrossing the "Mega" line stuff (for the past few years), so this year I paired my Mega Tricolor Het Snow to 4 different unrelated females. Only 3 of the 4 females ended up giving me good eggs.

The sire:

His offspring twin from last year:

So, back to my first Hondo clutch of 2012 (it's also her first clutch ever as well); she's a Ghost (50% Het Amel) that I got from Herby07 a few years ago.

Her Neonate Pic:

Her with the clutch:

I got 7 eggs, but 3 were obviously duds from the start:

Ended up with only 3 fertile eggs, but when they started to hatch I noticed something very interesting...

Yep, all Ghosts! Not exactly what I was expecting, I prefer variety in the clutch if possible, but kinda cool at the same time considering the coin flip odds.

Here are the neonates in order of hatching:

1st out:

2nd out:

3rd out:

My next clutch is due in about a week from today, and my final clutch from the same male is due about 10 days after that...it will be a fun September!

I have another weird story that I will have to post about later...long story short, thought I had an egg bound female, turns out she finally laid eggs after two "pre-lay" sheds, not eating and about 2 months later than expected...I might have a couple fertile eggs, hatching around Thanksgiving!!! I paired her with my unproven Triple Homozygous male...
