Posted by: kitchi at Wed Sep 12 17:04:09 2012 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by kitchi ] Thanks Lar. There was no thermo regulation available for her or the other Guyana that dropped earlier. She only coiled up a few times and generally layed normally. I actually think I may have had it a degree too high but my temp guns is poor and reads higher than my other thermometers. The other girl was coiled up most of the time but not in a severe heat conservation pile. Her cage was a little lower in the room so that is probably why. The Brazilian had the floor oil filled electric heater pulled over near one corner of her big 6 X 3 Vision and hugged that corner most, but not all of the time so she was able to thermo regulate. None of them moved much. The one year that I used heat pads under the cages all but one litter premied out despite the heat pad only covering a small portion of the floor area. It should have been my banner year. I lost some ridiculous babies. I will never do it again. [ Hide Replies ]
