I ship a lot and with fedex I get a volume discount so Fedex is the cheapest way for me to go.



The way I save even more each and every time is having a variety of box sizes and selecting the smallest one that will still be adequate for the job. The savings are twofold for me. The smaller boxes cost less to start with and are cheaper to ship. Shipping companies use both weight and dimensions to calculate shipping costs so a larger/lighter box can be more expensive to ship than smaller/heavier one.
