I don't know what you entered to get a $280 quote, but there must have been some entry error.



You def want to use the smallest box you can, as you are charged for either actual weight or dimensional weight, whichever is higher. A smaller box will have a smaller dimensional weight.



The most popular box size used at SYR is the 12x9x6 box.



Most shipments are in the $55-$80 range for Priority Overnight.



The ShipYourReptiles rates are hard coded at 20% off the FedEx rate, so it will always be cheaper than the FedEx retail rate for the same package.



FedEx offers a deeper discount for volume shippers, and so do we.



SYR also allows for shipping to and from Residential addresses, which is not allowed with regular FedEx reptile accounts, and we offer On-Time and Live Arrival Insurance, another benefit not found with any other live reptile shipping method.
