Sacramento California. I found him on my lawn just chilling. Thought he might have been hurt. Picked him up and still he just sat quietly long enough for me to click a few pictures. I didn't notice puncture wounds of any sort so I just put him under a bush and that was that. Sure was neat holding a wild lizard. I'm usually pretty timid about that sort of thing.
