Posted by: gerryg at Tue Oct 16 18:44:22 2012 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by gerryg ] Sorry for treating this like Twitter but we just had a 4.5 quake centered about 20 miles from me... first thought my furnace was in the process of blowing up so I ran down to the basement... to be at the center of the blast I guess... furnace is dead quite, so I'm wondering wtf? Sonic boom perhaps? I turn on the radio and right of the bat it's news of the quake... 4.5 isn't much... but here in Maine it's by far the biggest in my 53 years... freaking house was actually shaking! Not the typical barely felt shaking from quakes here in Maine but actual "my walls are moving". Sort of cool. [ Hide Replies ]
