The offspring of most crosses never look as clean or nice as the parents. Crossing the red bull and the northern may sound like a good idea, but it is not. Instead of accenting the best pattern and coloration of the parents, the resulting babies would be pretty muddy and indistinct. Not to mention genetically screwed up. It would be a lot more interesting to breed northerns to northerns. Really, is there any North American snake any cooler than a big black and white northern?
