I used alot of cork bark...sheets , rolled, hollow , and just chunks.......on aspen or cypress, the snakes liked it....made tunnels under it....I stacked multiple pieces even ....I used real wood, drift wood usually....I gathered alot myself....while fishing...I carried wood as much as fish some days....!....
......I have used flat rocks siliconed together to form my own caves....pieces of cinder block, brick, PVC pipe.....
...in the old days...we were happy with a good macaroni box....LOL.......Pop -Tarts?.....
