I used thermostats from BoaPhile ....a double thermostat....I didn't trust just one....(but have used the single later on)...I had it set for a 1 degree variance....so set at 91 it would get to 90 then click on....91, click off.......

.....I had the probe along the tub side ,directly ON the heat tape, all taped into place....

.....I used vermiculite , or vermic and perlite mixed, and set the eggs directly into it...I also used the cheap HovaBators....for 20 years....(4 of them )....did I lose eggs ? yes, did I lose alot ? no, was it my fault always? yes....

.....if you use boxes for eggs.,...lid on , one to three small holes in top or side....
