Also, depending on how close she actually is to laying, palpating may not yield an accurate result...primarily because the eggs are close together and there may not be noticeable separations between the eggs. An ultrasound may not show if the eggs are viable, but it would be a safe way to get an egg count. My advice would be to wait her out. Hopefully you'll get some nice eggs. [ Hide Replies ]
