you said Hova-bator and vermic----??? did you use the bator' as a container or a container inside the 'bator?....



if you have the ermic in the Hova-bator...you better not be using the short bottom that came with it...you need taller bottom....like a styro shipping box (that fits to size)



and if you have the vermic in the bottom and eggs in that and above eggs is the heating element...(needs to be far enough away)...you need to keep the top eggs from drying out...moss will get moldy and dry too quickly....I used a damp piece of cloth (cotton) ...if done correctly it works....



I used 4 Hova-Bators at a time for yearssssss and hatched 150 average ball eggs a year.....and yes...I lost whole incubators full of eggs at times I screwed up....$$$$$$$....
