I was in the field and yes, in hognose turf. Sadly all I found was a mohave rattlesnake and a box turtled. The Mohave was a really dark one with gold markings.



As of now, all their movements are underground. It will be interesting to see when they come up. Its really dry now and only going to get hotter and dryer. Oh also saw two leopard lizards. Last fall, I did photograph a couple neonate leopard lizards. They are out of hand.
