Posted by: reptileking at Wed Jun 26 17:42:31 2013 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by reptileking ] I always wait a week after they shed to offer food, allows them to use up all the yolk theyve absorbed from the egg...Been breeding Balls for bout 10 yrs now, never personally had much luck offering rats off the bat...I always offer hopper mice for 1st 2 meals(usually same weekend) then the following week try rat pinks w/ alittle fuzz...Naked pinks have little to no scent, having the fuzz changes things...Balls will humble ya, some will cooperate and take rats some just wont touch them...I stopped trying a few yrs ago to make the switch, just feed hoppers a few feedings then move up to xs mice...If a customer wants to switch over then they can themselves... GL, hope this helps... | ||
