I thought twins first also and looked in the sack or for any other sign of twins but there weren't any. If you look at those pics, you can see where there is another ring around the tail portion that is also constricted looking. It went all the way around it in a circle. Like everyone else, I have no idea what happened but it was the craziest thing I've seen from a reptile egg.
